CONCRETE
TARGETS 2015 SCHEME RULES
A nominated Director of the company in British Precast Concrete Federation
membership must sign the Concrete Targets 2015 Pledge document, in order for
the company to qualify for continuing membership of the Federation.
- The statistics required under this scheme must be submitted quarterly on the prescribed forms available from the British Precast office.
- Hours worked may be an estimate made by use of an approved estimation method, to be specified by British Precast.
- Failure to provide the required statistics may result in the member being
disqualified from the awards for that year. Pledge certificates will be supplied
to all Concrete Targets 2015 participating members and must be displayed
prominently in appropriate factory and office areas.
SAFETY AWARDS – COMPANY
- Application for the safety award must be made by the nominated representative of the member company.
- All applications for the awards must be sent
to British Precast by the required date each
year.
- Applications for the safety awards must be made on the British Precast safety award application form available from the British
Precast office at Leicester.
- All sections of the application form must be completed, and if no action has been taken in a particular section then that section should
be marked ‘NO ACTION’.
- Evidence must be provided to support the application for the award. This can be in the form of records e.g. training, photographs, booklets etc.
- Where no evidence is provided, the judging panel will inform the company representative, asking for evidence to be provided within two weeks. Where evidence is not provided in that time the application under that part of the scheme will be considered as void.
- The judging panel will convene four weeks after the closing date for applications.
- All companies qualifying for awards will be notified prior to the British Precast Best Practice Awards event. Multiple copies of
certificates will be available on request.
- The judging panel will be designated by the Health and Safety Committee and will usually consist of the following:
- British Precast Health & Safety Committee Chairman and/or nominees
- 1 Officer of British Precast
- 1 HSE representative
- 1 other independent judge (e.g. Proskills)
- The judging committee records and the company applications will be kept by British Precast for the duration of the Concrete Targets 2015 scheme.
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION AWARDS
- Application for the awards must be made on the prescribed
form, available from the British Precast
office at Leicester.
- Applications will be assessed by British Precast Health & Safety
committee at their meetings or by the judging panel.
- All awards given will be sent to the company nominated representative
for presentation to the successful person/group or presented at the annual British Precast Best Practice Awards event.
