Full and associate membership

British Precast is a highly effective industry federation of member companies, dedicated to improving the business environment for the £2bn precast concrete products industry in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Full Membership is available to producers of precast concrete products with at least one plant in the UK, while Associate Membership is offered to companies and organisations involved in the industry supply chain.

Our offices are situated in the centre of Leicester, close to the M1/M69 junction and East Midlands Airport. Leicester Railway Station is a short walk away and offers a frequent service to London. Our small administration team is based here and we have comfortable meeting rooms to cater for meetings and activity groups. A hot desk area is also available for members’ use.

For our members’ protection, we operate all our activities in full conformity with the requirements of the Competition Acts and guidelines. We are constantly active in political lobbying on behalf of the industry and individual members where applicable. Our Chief Executive leads this work in Westminster, Whitehall and Brussels.

We work closely with the Construction Products Association (CPA) and BIBM in Brussels, in addition to other cement and concrete representative bodies, to provide a proactive network and a united front for common objectives.

We administer 13 Product Associations, which represent the wide range of products, markets and supply chains in this sector, as well as very active Health & Safety and Sustainability committees, to which any member can belong. Both the latter committees have their own annual best practice awards schemes. We also have a Public Affairs Committee to guide our programme of external relations. In all, around 50 committees and task groups are administered from our Leicester headquarters.
