Our Members

British Precast Full Members are all required to sign up to the British Precast Charter Membership scheme including our Health and Safety and Sustainability Charters. These Charter schemes are part of the ‘Raising the Bar’ initiative, which demonstrates our members’ commitment to zero harm and improving environmental performance within the industry.

Our Full and Associate Members have demonstrated their support for the development of the precast concrete and masonry industry, and regularly take part in our events. We recently held our first Safety and Health Awareness Day (SHAD) of the year, with practical demonstrations, presentations and expert advice.  The second SHAD, targeted at both the leaders in construction, and those in operative and supervisory roles will take place in the Autumn.

The topic of Sustainability plays a large role in the work of British Precast, with our Sustainability Strategy launched in 2007 and KPI reports published annually since 2008. The latter comprises annual performance data, providing an overview of the impact of the precast sector on society and the environment. All Full Members are audited annually against the principles and requirements of the sustainability charter and submit data to include within our annual review, Sustainability Matters.
